The beach in early evening, when the sand cooled off enough that you can walk on it. It’s still warm, but when you dig your toes beneath the surface, it’s refreshingly cool against your skin. It’s so dry it brushes right off wherever it touches, leaving your skin silky with that fine layer or dust you can never wipe off. The sand is so fine you can trickle it through your fingers and watch it blow away in the light breeze.
How I wish I was on a beach right now!
